New Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car will be launched in India as Kia India prepares to launch the EV6. Hyundai India has confirmed that the launch will take place in the second half of this year, but no specific date has been announced. Expect the Hyundai Ioniq 5 to arrive on Indian shores in October, around the time of Diwali.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is expected to have a range of 220 miles when using the standard 58.0-kWh battery pack. Its bigger 77.4-kWh battery pack can go 256 miles with two motors and 303 miles with one. By using a DC fast charger, the bigger battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 18 minutes or 68 miles in around five minutes.
