Planning to use your electric scooter when commuting might be something you will need to do. The various escooters on the market have an enormous advantage compared to other options by way of being quick, silent, not cumbersome like a bike and are versatile when it comes to planning one’s commute, even if the scooter is not to be used the whole way.

Obviously the electric scooter is not a daytime vehicle only. It will likely be used to bookend the day, so being seen and being able to see where you are going is of utmost importance. A lot of escooters have LED front & back but of varying quality. If you know you will be using your escooter a lot when it’s dark outside, it would be wise to choose one that considers or features this. The Mantis f.e. has LED lights front/back and a strip on the side. Lights draw the power of course so there is a limit as to how much illumination one can have before the main purpose of traveling is being affected. It might be good to invest in extra attachable headlights for maximum visibility.
